Adam suggested that we provide a forum for talking about football while it's in season. So here goes: what team(s) do you root for, and WHY do you root for them?
In college football, number one took a tumble this week. How could a team with so much talent lose to an unranked team? What lessons can we learn from them?

I root for the Michigan Wolverines and the San Fransisco 49ers. Growing up in Ohio, I found myself surrounded by many Ohio State fans, so I decided to cheer for their biggest rival. Similarly, my allegiance to San Fran comes from their playing the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl when I was young. Everybody else was rooting for the Bengals, so I cheered on the '9ers. I have been a fan ever since!
My favorite collage team is Wake Forest because it is my favorite collage so I decided to root for all its sports, football, basketball,ect.My favorite pro team is the Dallas Cowboys because I watched them play and just thought they were awesome so I started rooting for them.

My favorite NFL team is the Washington Redskins. My whole family likes them. My favorite college team is Tennessee because my dad went there.

I root for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the NFL team, the Tennessee Titans. I first started liking Notre Dame when I found that I had Irish heritage. Then I found that they were a good team, and I have rooted for them ever since. The Titans, well, I tend to root for the underdogs in sports, and this was back when the Titans had McNair, and they were losing pretty badly to some team that I don't like (I don't remember who it was). I started rooting for them are watching their games on TV, and here I am, owner of a Steve McNair jersey and a Vince Young jersey.

My favorite college football team is Clemson. The Clemson tigers are the best team ever to walk the planet in any sport. Clemson is 3-1 this year and will play maryland on Saturday. I like Clemson because 1 grandfather, 2 uncles, and a cousin went there. Everybody in my family, except for three people live in South Carolina. Go Clemson!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I root for the Oregon Ducks and the Chicago Bears. I root for them because I want to be diferent and not root for teams such as, the 'Skins, Cowboys, UVA, VT, etc. I also root for these teams because they have and/or had people on the teams that I liked, but I have a motto that says "Once a Bear or Duck; always a Bear or Duck.
