The performance today
I love hearing the Jazz Band play. They work tremendously hard practiciing their instrument, they practice working together, and then when they get on stage there is still the element of improvisation. It reminds me a little of Barry Sanders; the Lions practiced their plays over and over, but when a play broke down or Barry found the open field his improvisational skills were second to none. Have you improvised recently? How did it go? Is it possible to get better at improvising?

On Wednesday, Johnny Constable and I were working on our rocket when suddenly we couldn't find our nosecone! I spotted it on Ben Moore's rocket. Johnny and I had to work fast to come up with a decent nosecone in time. Today, our rocket flew 151 feet and the nosecone was only slightly damaged. I would say this improvisation went very well and that you can get better at improvisation. The more times you do it, the better and more experienced you get. If you get more experienced, you will not panic in a situation that requires some improvisation.
