Long John wasn't the last of the pirates. Although we think of pirates as sailing wooden ships and swinging swords, there are still those who are willing to risk life and limb to steal from lesser-armed nautical vehicles.

The real pirates sound a lot more smarter than the pirates in Treasure Island. This pirate thing is getting worse and worse. My dad is in the shipping industry and one of his vessels did get hijacked and nobody was injured, but it is still a scary thing to think about.
