What is this boy thinking as he goes over his report card? Is he happy with how he prepared for tests and quizzes? Did he do all of his assigned homework? How will his parents respond when they see the report card?
Use as many descriptive words (especially adjectives) as you can in order to construct a wonderful response. Also, think about using a resource like m-w.com to find fantastic words and spell them correctly.

I think that he is confused about his grades and that he is worried what his parent will say. He might be worried about if he deserved his grades on the test. He probably did not turn in all of his homework because he didn't feel like it, but now he might be regreting that he didn't do it. His parents will probably be mad at him and will be very dissapointed at him.

HE seems to be surprised. You can tell this because his eyes are bulging with either a sense of fear or amazement. You can't really tell if he did well or not but i would guess no.
-Vaughan 5
I think judging by this kids face, he is not happy with his grades. His eyes are bulging and his hair is on end. It looks like he is expecting a beating from his parents. He probably did not do much of his assigned work and got many lunch detentions. He also probably did not study very hard for his tests and quizzes resulting in an unsatisfying report card from his teachers.
I think that this boy is thiking that he got a very bad grade and his parents are going to yell at him so he is going to try and hide it. I think that he did not do some of his asingments and that is why he has a worried look on.
i think the person is wondering what there grades are. they are probabialy exicted and scard to see there grades.

I think the boy is thinking holy snipper snap! I can't belive I failed all of my classes! He looks very unhappy about how he prepared because he looks somewhat worried about hs grades abd his eyes are very wide like he is about to cry.
I think he did not do all of his assigned home work because that is one of the many reasons for getting bad grades and he looks very sad. I am guessing his parent will react to his report card by wrinkling their brow and saying "No son of mine should get grades this bad!" and be somewhat depressed in the days to come, and the son will probobly be grounded.
i think this boy is, judging by the way his eye brows are is suprised, alarmed, astonished, on how he did on his report card. i think his parents might be amazed how he did on his report card.

This fantastic, wonderful, exciting, beautiful report card is so joyful in my heart, I think you deserve a very fast bike!

If that person was me I would study 5 days early because i would know more about the quiz/test also my parents would normally say that I did my best and that is what matters and I am normally not worried since I did my best and that is what I think when I get my grade adverege for school.
Q.P P:3 HI!!!!!!!!!!!
The boy is probably thinking did I do a good job on my report card? Do I have good grades? Did I study hard enough for my tests and quizzes? If he did a good job on his report card, then his parents would probably be very exicited for him and reward him. Then after he showed his parents and got rewarded he probably would learn from it then would get better grades all through out the year and he would study and do better and better in school. Where is if he did bad he probably would be scolded and maybe punished. If he did bad then he would have to study harder, pay attention in school, and work alot harder.

I assume is that he is unhappy with his flunking grades because of how he neglected essential studying. He is probably regretting his nonexistent homework. When his parents see it there will be tears and punishment.
The boy in the picture looks stunned by his grdes or one of the comments that one of the teachers wrote about him. But the face that he is making is a look that probably means he did not extraordinarily well. He probaly will try to hide the "nasty" report card from his parents but they will find it and most likly punish him.

I think the young boy got a very bad report card. I think that because in the picture looks depressed. His parents will be frustrated with his work. He will try to do is best to make his parents happy! He probally did not do well on his tests and quizzes witch made his score plummit.

Sarah- Period 3
The boy in the picture is terrified. He now realizes that if he was a more prestigious person, his report card would have been MUCH better. He has done a despicable job on this marking period, and now it shows. He might have gotten by before the report card came along, saying things like "Oh, yeah, I did an okay job," when he got a 43% on a test. Now, it shows that he never hit the books. He was in a reverie while the teacher droned on, and on, and on, and on. But had he studiously taken note of what the teacher was talking about, he would have come out much better in the end. He put off all of the vital quizzes and the crucial tests. He did not do any of the allotted homework, thus making his report card even more grievous. In my perspective, the boy's parents will be outraged to see the heinous grades that their son brought home. They would probably want to get him a tutor to help his grades continually improve.
Kate, Period Two
The boy reading through his report card does not appear to be either delighted nor downcast to be reviewing the scores he earned in his several classes. Therefore, it is difficult to decipher whether he is pleased or absolutely disappointed. Although, his eyebrows are raised at an extreme level, and somewhat tilted, and his hair is standing up (I am not particularly sure whether that is simply the style of his hair, or if he is so astounded by his class-grades that not only is he dumbfounded, but his hair stands on end).
I have the opinion that the boy reading over his report card is thinking something along the lines of: "Oh my goodness."
The way his eyebrows are placed makes me wonder if he is startled by his grades. He is either surprised in a way that is good (a day of cheer awaits) or in a way that is not so wished (a cheerless year). I think he looks worried: petrified by what his parents might say and dismayed by what consequences might ensue. According to this opinion of mine, I will conclude that he did not prepare well (with the suitable outcome). His parents will likely respond to this negative outcome in the very way that he feared: punishment will be involved, and, unless he has a very calm way of letting his parents know how his work ethic has shown itself (also depending on the type of parents), the conversation could quite possible be harsh. I do not think that he handed in his homework completed, but if he did, perhaps his perspective was completely opposite of what his teachers' was (which may only apply to English, because with Math, you either get it or you do not, or you complete it or you do not).
Kate, Period Two
This young child is shocked and dismayed at his report card. He feels his future is in peril. He is incredulous at how poorly he did, which is reflected in his dreadful grades. He is disheartened and dejected.
He is regretful at how horrendously he prepared for tests and quizzes. He lacked erudition in all subjects. He perceives that he could have performed extraordinarily better on his homework and that would have increased his grade point average. Rather, he chose to foresake the opportunity to master the topics, eventuating in a complete collapse of his grade point average.
His parents will be appalled, disgusted and humiliated by this revelation. They will be ashamed to call him their son. There will be consequences. They will evidence their dissatisfaction by punitive measures, including mandating his withdrawal from all extracurricular activities and prohibiting his use of any electronic devices. There will be, essentially, martial law to enforce a sense of discipline. They will likely express their frustration at his general inadequacy as well as his reprehensible use of his time. They will treat him with disdain until he has reformed his ways and excelled in school.
Until the next report card, his life will be unbearable.

I have a feeling that the boy has a bad repot card so therefore he should work harder to make it better next time. He could accomplish this by doing work in school, doing home work and studying.

I think that the boy is stunned by how good the report card because
he starring at his report in a suprise way meaning he got a good grade.
The boy in the picture looks shocked and stunned by his grades. I think the boy had a horrible report card. I think he didn't do so amazing on some of his tests and quizzes which would make his grades sink. Most likely, I think he will try to hide his horrifying report card from his parents or dispose of it. I think in the future the boy should study for his test and quizzes and do all his homework assignments so he will get astonishing grades.
Elizabeth, period 2
I think this young man did awful on his report card. he failed every class except gym. He got nasty grades in his other class. His parents will flip out when they see this young man report card he will try to forege there signautre and get in the biggest terriblest trouble ever.

The boy in the picture looks very surprised. Either because he is very happy or he is dissapointed in his grades. I'm guessing that he is not to happy, but again, its a prediction. his parents will be very dissapointed in the boy's grade. He will most likely get punished.

In the picture the boy looks happy about his grade on his report card. His parents will be very happy about his grades and the boy will be glad that he made his parents proud. The boy’s parents will probably tell their friends about his grades and how proud they are of him.
Patrick PD3
I think the boy think he is suprized and shocked at what he got. I t probabaly means he didwnt do that great and might not want to share it. He might not have done all of his assigned hw because of the expression on his face. His parents might not be excited and he might get grounded.
This boy looks like he is not happy with his grades. He probably did not do much of his assigned work and he probably did not prepare well for his tests and quizzes. I am guessing his parents will not be happy with his horrid grades and they will probably punish him and make him work harder and cut down on time to play with his friends. If he is having trouble in school I'm sure his parents will probably make sure he gets help or tries harder to improve them by the end of the marking period.

Grace period 2
I think the boy was thinking "WOW I should have studied a LOT more". I don't think the boy was happy with how he prepared for his test and quizzes by the look on his face. I dont think he did all of his homework, again because of the look on his face. I think his parents will respond byh grounding him. Most likely his grounding will consist of no TV, no computer (if he has a computer), and no friends until his grades come up.

The boy is looking over his report card is unhappy that he did very bad on his report card. His parents will not be happy either because of his effort. Or if he was happy he would probably not have his eyes look like they were going to bulge out of his head.
In the picture he looks like he could either be very happy with it or the opposite. His eyes look very wide and his hair is messed up like he is frusterated with his grades. He also lookes very flustered, apprehensive, jittery, and troubled or uneasy.
Ian Period 2
The boy looks very stressed at his grades like he did not know that he got the grades and it looks that he thought he was doing better. I think he is concerned about what his parents will think and if he is going to get punished. He is probably thinking that he should not show his parents and hid it. But in the end i think he will show his parents his report card and I think that they won't be that mad and they will tell him to do al of his homework and study more.

I think that the boy is surprised that he actually got a great outstanding grade on his great, outstanding beatiful report card. Before he got his report card I bet he was nervous about how his grades looked. But now his parents are going to be happy, surprised, gratful, and excited. Now he probably can relax from be so down and thinking bad things about his grades. Katie F.Per 5

kevin Period 2
The boy is very befuddled because he doesn't know whether to be jubilant or afraid of his report card. For his social studies, spanish, and art classes, his grades had a felicitous outcome. But for math, science, and english his grades were unsuitable. The boy's parents might be very umbrageous or very impressed. His dad could be a very irascible person sometimes. His mother for the most part was very empathising person. He just has to take the chance and impart his report card.

I think that this little boy is a scared and nervous to see what grades he got and what his parents will say about his grades. He looks like he is worried that he forgot to do an assingment. Also he looks a little puzzled too. But I guess we will never know what he was really thinking.

i think his grades are good, maybe because he was studying alot and was listening in class alot.
i also think that his parents exspect
grades in the 80s or 90s so by the looks of what i see on hs face i think he did good.
I think the boy got a very bad report card. The boys eyes say to me that he was very shocked by his grades that were horrible. I beleive that he is not happy with how he prepared for tests and quizzes and he will try study alot harder. He did not do all of his assigned homework and he did not think it would make him get such bad grades. His parents will be very upset with him and question why his grades were so bad.

I think the boy is a lazy slacker that does not care even a little bit about his grades. I think he is not going to tell his parents and is going to fail the year. His parents are going to find out and they are going to ground him for eight horible months. I don't think he took his grades seriously before, but now I think he will have to.

i think that the boy got horrible grades on his report card. He is devastated, forlorn, and saddened by his horrible grades. He is terrified to show his parents. He is anxious on even passing the grade and moving on to the next. He is trembling in his shoes. The fact that he didn't turn in his homework as often as he'd like to resulted in absolutely melancholy grades. And those tests, well, if he'd done any worse it would be in the Guinness Book of World Records. And, with a heavy heart, the young lad turns to go home. What will be waiting for him lies only on the edges of nightmares, despair, pure evil. For, it is the wrath of the furious parent.
Becca5
I think he is either ecstatic, or, in his mind walking to the gallows because he didnt prepare, and didnt think he would get good grades, or he didnt prepare and got amazing grades. either way, he is probably nervous about his parents reactions to the grades.
Robert 5
The cartoon boy is very hard to read whether he is ecstatic or disappointed in his report card. His eyebrows are lifted in such a way that I think he is extremely surprised, probably for the worse.
His hair is very frizzled, from surprise or just having a bad hair day, probably the former. He seems to be going "Oh Heavens, what did I do to deserve this?
He looks worried, so he probably isn't the sort of kid who has parents who don't care what their kids get on their report cards. His parents probably do care, so he will probably get punished someway that is up to the parents, not me.
Did he do his assigned homework? Well, that depends. He could have done it, but not very well, or just didn't do it at all.
Claire Period 2
Renee - Period 3
This boy is thinking that he should have payed more attention in class, gotten his homework done and taken notes, so he could study for his tests and do well on them. He is not satisfied with how he prepared for his tests and quizes. He is pretty disgruntled with the grades that reflect his study habbits. By the look of his puzzled face, he did not complete all of the assigned homework. He probably got zeros for all of the assignments that he did not complete. His parents will most likely be extremely upset and agitated with his grades. He might lose his television, cell phone, video game or Internet privileges.
I think when he looked at his poor and unfavorible grades he felt nervous and scared to show his parents he knew his parents were going to be mad. He might of got unpleasent grades on his test or quizzes.
Lyman Townsend Per 2
I think that the boy did a horrible job on his report card because he look suprised yet depressed at the same time, also i bet he never did his hw or studied for tests and quizes which lowered his score alot. I think this kid is daft and shocked on what his report card has on it.He is regretting not doing his homework those times he decided to stay up all night and not study for his finals. His parents will be very mad at him and punish him meanly for the poor work he has done.
Jimmy Period 2
I think that he is not to dazzled by his grades and that he didn't do well on his test and didn't hand in some homework. I think that his parents were not as flabbergasted as he would pray they would be. If I was him I would try very hard on my tests and study like a octopus.

Quentin P:3
I think he is confused with he his grades. He thought that he did well in his classes but he did not. The boys parents will be happy or mad weather or not he did well on his report card. BUt i think his mom and dad will be happy weather or not he got bad grades or good grades.
Sara Per 1
The boy looking a his report card may not be happy or maybe he is. He could be feeling terrible about his grades and not want to show his parents or he would be delighted to show his parents his grades. I bet the kid did not do so well on his grades so his parents will get mad at him. If any of his grades is really low then his parents will not be so happy. The boy will get home and see his parents get outraged at him for the grades he got. They will be scared that their son will not pass a certain class. I think he did not do all of his homework and some of his grades where barely passing.
