One of my favorite groups these day is Flobots. I like their music because many of the tunes are catchy but have substance below the catchy surface. Since they have more depth, I find that I can listen to the songs over and over without growing tired of them. Their lyrics have some important, socially significant points. While I don't necessarily agree with everything the group says, I do like the idea of groups using musical arts to express opinions about important social issues.

Recently I have been enjoying the music of country. I have been trying to learn more songs on my guitar that are ocuntry. I dont really enjoy them it is just one type of music i have recentlu been listening to.

One of my friends introduced me to crunk, which is rap and screamo mixed. one of the crunk bands is brokencyde its one of my favorite bands so far. My favorite song from that band is "Teach How To Scream". i like that song because it has a nice ring to it. My other singer i enjoy listening to is eminem and Jason Derulo. Jason Derulo is pop and eminem is rap, a jason derulo song that i like is "In My Head" and an eminem song is "I Love The Way You Lie" they both are very catchy as well.

I have recently been listening to the "Killers". I really enjoy them because they express themselves through music in several different ways. When they want to express anger, they have instruments like drums and electric guitars playing. When they want to express sadness, they have violins playing. But they always seem to have strong way of expressing themselves as well. There always seem to be a sense of power behind their music that I never really have felt from any other group.

Well I don’t really have a favorite artist that I listen to a lot, I do not listen to music much. Though I do have a couple artists/bands I enjoy. I really like Coldplay because all the words in the songs are a story if you listen closely. Also once in while I like listen to Micky Dolenz because his songs cheer me up. Also the Crash Test Dummies have a couple songs that are pretty good, I like them because the songs are well written and the songs also evoke strong emotions because the songs are so sad.

Recently, I have been enjoying the songs "Party in the USA", "ITS THE CLIMB" and those songs are by Mily Cyrus. The other songs I like to listen to well one of them is by a violin player named"David Garrett"and the song he plays is "smooth crimanial" by MICHEAL JACKSON! His songs are awesome because he plays them so fast and its unreal. An artist that I have recently been enjoying is P!NK. I have been listening to her latest song "Raise Your Glass" I like this song because of the way she expresses herself in all of her songs which can get you started to listening to her. She sings a mixture of rock and Hip Hop, but those are some of my favorite kinds if music. I first started listening to P!NK when I was 9 or 10 when her song "So What" came out onto iTunes. I loved this song so much I couldn't stop listening to it. And that is why P!NK is one of my favorite artists.

I don't really have a favorite band right now, but I do know that one of my favorite songs is by the band OneRepublic. I like their song secrets mainly because of the instrumental sound it has. My favorite instrument is probably the cello, and in the beginning of that song they are playing one so that automatically drew me to it. I think that song may have a lot of meaning, and I do understand most of the words, but even after I watched the music video I was still confused about what exactly was going on. Luckily my good friend Ciara gave me the advice to look up the words, and I now know what it’s about, and I must say I do agree with them.

I usually don’t listen to music in my free time, but I do frequently on car rides to swim team, and especially at swim meets. At swim meets I like listening to music on the way there and while I’m waiting for an event. Listening to music makes me get pumped for my race. I don’t listen to a certain artist or band, just songs that are faster pace. I don’t mind listening to different things, and I’m really open to any kind of music.

I don't really have a favorite band or artist at the moment. I really enjoy music where if you listen closely you can follow it...like a story. I don't like it when artists/bands write songs with lyrics that don't make sense or when they write their lyrics specifically to rhyme and don't think about making them actually make sense. I really like Latin music in general. I enjoy the use of instruments and I like the strong beats that are often heard during the songs. I also like music that has instrumental parts. I like songs that have string parts in them especially(I play the violin). Any band/artist that includes this usually okay(usually). If I had to chose a music artist though, I would chose Yael Naim. She is a french-Israeli singer. I like her songs and they have very strong instrumental parts.

I don't listen to music very often. If I do listen to music, it depends where I am, or what the purpose is. For example in the morning when I wake up, I need something playing that will make me wake-up, and get me out of bed. In the morning I listen to "Hey Soul Sister" power workout. What I like about that, is that it is quite fast and is the kind of beat that gets me up quickly. Recently though, I listen to whatever my brother has on itunes. I have been listening to Soulja Boy recently. He has a somewhat new song out called Pretty Boy Swag but I didn't really like it. Although I do like him a lot because he has good rhythm and tone. And it is fun for everyone to listen to because Crank That does not have any fowl language in it. I could listen to him all day manly because he is on my ipod. What I like about his songs is that most of them are very calming and if you listen to the lyrics you can find some really great messages like in "If You Want To Sing Out Sing out," which is one of my favorites. It is also great to just listen to his voice with very little accompaniment, usually just a guitar.
