Practice makes better

Dustin Johson is a talented golfer.  Some of his ability is natural; some comes from dedicated practice.  At one point in the video he mentions that he occasionally gets results that are not ideal; he has determined that often these results come from a mechanical problem in his swing.  This is great for him to know, because he  can fix the problem when it arises by concentrating on that specific element of his swing the next time around.  Just as a certain swing can generate a great shot, a good study routine can generate great results on a quiz or test.  What is the most important part of your study routine?  What do you do, and how can you adjust this if it isn't producing the results you desire?

For my study routine I study for the test/quiz right before i go to sleep. That way It would be the last thing that happend during my day so I would be thinking about it when I am trying to sleep, and when I wake up I would be thinking about it. if this process ends up failing, my second best study routine is hiding what I need to know and answer it myself.

The most important part in my study routine is that I have to study multiple time in a day, taking breaks in between. If it is not working I could also study my notes and make practes test. Duncan Clark 20 2011

For my study routine i study a couple times a day, then i have someone quiz me. Then what ever questions i get wrong i study them more until i get it right. If my study routine is failing then i study before bed so that when i wake up i will hopefully remember it.

The most important part of my study routine is that I go in a room, with no distractions and I go over my notes many times. I keep on doing that until the test. Also another important part of my study routine is that I go over my notes quickly right before the test, so I can refresh my memory. If I do not do well on the test then I go over the notes many more times and see what I missed and pay more time on my studing for that period instead of a period that I did very well on.

For me the most important part of my studying routine is actually knowing the information. When I am taking the test or quiz and even after it I want to know that information. My way of studying is that I will divide the information up if there is alot into groups. Then I study one of the groups and then I quiz my self on that information. Then move on to another group. If it fails to work then I will study twice that day and get quized twice to make sure I know the information

I think that the most important thing is that practic makes perfect and that if u work hard at something that you injoy you will stick with it and get better and u will be proud od what uv done

My study routine is that i go over my notes over and over agian until i know everything i need to know for the test/quiz. Sometimes my mom will quiz me to see if i really know what i studied. If im not getting the results i want i will go over all my notes twice and then write them out on another peice of paper without looking at the original notes. I study extra if dont think im going to do well but usually i will look them over on the ride to school.

The most important part of my study routine is that I study mutiple times and mark sure I know all the infomation before I take the test. I like to make flash cards for every test because it helps me memorize everything I have to know. I quiz myself while going through my infomation to make sure I know it without looking at the answer. It this process fails then I would have a teacher or parent help me understand the infomation better. A Davine P8

The most important part of my study routine is having someone quiz me on the material after I have studied. This allows me to get constructive criticism so that I can study again and focus on that which I am not as good at. I always study before I am quizzed, so that I can know the material -like I am taking a real quiz. If I am having difficulty the morning of the quiz, I sometimes have my mom quiz me on the way to school. If I can't remember something after I am quizzed, I try to think of, or ask for help finding, ways that I can remember things and try to memorize them like that. I get quizzed again, after I figured out what my "clues" are for the areas I am having problems with.

During my study routine I read the notes out loud to myself about five times. I then look up and repeat as much of the notes as I can with out looking and glance down only when I'm completely stuck. I then read through the notes again to see if I'm forgetting anything. If I have forgotten anything I repeat over and over until it greatly irritates myself and everyone who can hear me. I then repeat the facts again until I can recall everything correctly. i do other work for awhile and repeat this. the most important part of my routine is repeating the notes to myself from memory. To adjust this if need be I would also study as close to the test time as possible for as long as possible and I would study more often.

For my study routine I go into a quite room in my house and take out all of the notes I have to study. I put them in order from the first note to the last note. Then I read them over and over out loud. Once I feel confident, I read over the main topic and I try to state all the facts about the main topic that I need to know. The most important thing in my study routine is that I read over the material a lot so that I get the concept in my head. Then I have my mom quiz me so I can make sure that I know every thing. Usually my technique works well, but if it stops working then I make flash cards for myself.

The most important part of my study routine is making sure that I really understand the facts and that I'm not just saying them over and over in my head. I do that by writing down what I need to know. If I already have it written down in my notes i will write it over again because for some reason when i write something down i remember it better. It that doesnt work then I will make flah cards and have one of my sisters or my mom quiz me on them.

The most important part in my study routine is to make sure that I am done with all of my other homework so I can devote time to studying. If it is a long test I study the information, page by page. I don't move onto the next page until I am 100% sure that I know all of the information. To make sure that I know all of the information I ask myself the question and answer it without looking at the paper. After I am positive that I know everything, I have one of my parents quiz me. If I feel confident that I know the material I will leave it alone until the next morning. Then I will refresh my memory by looking everything over. If this method of studying ends up failing, then I would go over the information many more times.

My study routine is that I make flash cards and study them every night before I go to sleep, and on the day of the test/quiz I study on the bus. I also name everything without looking at my study guide to help me memorize it. Emily Rodgers P. 6

I am a good studier. I like to go over the review and look back to the stuff we did in class. If i don't get the grade that i really wanted then i know i have to change the way i studied for the test. I try to make flash cards but the can take up a lot of time and energy. So my dad said that if i type out what I'm studying then that helps to go into your brain. So that usually works and i get the results i want.

When i have an upcoming test or quiz i usually make i study sheet. I write down all the important facts that i think i am going to need to know for the quiz. Then i read them over and over until i think i know them very well. After i ask some one close by to quiz me on my notes. If i get one wrong i will make sure i know before i go to bed. Then i will read the paper over and over until i am completely ready for the test. If my technique doesn't work i would make a notes web and study off of that.

My study routine changes everytime I study... I usually study in my room with soft music playing I seperate any electronics or things that will distract me far at of reach! When I study I like to make flash cards so that my mom can help me study! I also study in bed where I am most confortorble I study with a lamp that will only shine the light on my papers. If one of these techniques does not work I find some other way to study.

A good study routine consists of many different thing but the most important things of a study routine is what I call RW2R. RW2R is when I remember all the things I can about the subject we are going to be tested on, write them down on a piece of paper, and then read through all my notes and textbook if I have one and then repeat.
Other than that studying like that I usually make flash cards to learn main ideas and other key facts. I also make mini quizzes for myself and other people when it’s a hard test. Sometimes to prepare for very big tests I write a small essay about everything I know.
If I fail a quiz or test I know I didn’t study enough or I didn’t study the right way. Since I have many different ways of studying usually one of my studying techniques works, but just in case they don’t and I fail the quiz I find out who passed and ask them what they did to study for the test.
I think my study habits and ways of studying for a test work well for me, but if I fail I make sure I know what I can do to study better for next time!

My study routine is to review the notes a bunch of times and if my parents have time i'll ask them to quiz me. If my results aren't the best the next time all go over the notes more and defintely ask me parents.

you need to study if you want to go to collage because you do not want to get a horrible gob.
For my study routine I usually start studying about 3 to 4 days before the the test. When I study I like to read all my notes and review sheet by reading it 5 times. Then I try to name all the awnsers I know off the top of my head then I keep reading it intill I can name them all without looking at my paper. Then I would have a family member or myself quiz me then if dont get them all right I'll read it over agian. Then do that in till' I get it right and the most important paart is to study hard.

For my study routine, I study my notes for a while, and then have either my mom or my dad test me on them. If I get them right I still look over them again to make sure that they are absolutely correct.

When Study First I look through all my notes and find the most imprtant things we have done. Then I will make a flash card of vocab words or things that we answered ourselves. When I am done i will then carry them with me to study many times in a day. Before I go to my room for the night my parents will quiz me. Then about about the 9th or 10th time I will study myself before i fall asleep.

I am going to prepare for a test right when we get notification. I would also work on it a little bit every night. On the last couple nights I would really review it a lot.I always make flash cards because that is best for me.

When I study I sometimes read the question and the answer, and when I think I’m ready I do not look at the answer but I try to do it on my own. I also make flash cards and that helps me a lot. If that does not work then I will ask my dad how should I study I don’t know how to, my dad will help me.
