When you are young and extremely talented, it can be difficult to receive criticism. In twenty to thirty words, describe the lesson that Gil Hodges tried to pass on to Tom Seaver. How might somebody with less character than Tom have reacted?

I think what Gil Hodges was trying to say to Tom was that you should`nt be lazy. Tom understood perfectly. Someone with out Tom`s character would probably try to be spitful.

well i think someone who was lazy and gave up easily would have stomped awaynever to try again. but tom seaver took that advice and used it to his advantage and became a great pitcher. aisling m
hey mr abts i like this story on tom terrific my dad told me a little bi about him, and i really like him i like how his tuff manager hodges yelled at him for bad effort it maskes me think that i should put all my effort towards everything.

i know that critisizam is bad and these days people get critisized about the smallest things, clothing, hair, dorky glasses, and ect. well in this case Gil tried prooving a point to tom and saying maybey you should get out and do more or in shorter terms "Don't be Lazy" someone with out tom's charecter would be shocke dor spitful.

i think the point is that tom does not care and he is lazy. some one who does not have his character would not do very well in life.
